SPRING/FALL: Bird and whale migration guided tours, Group Activities, Rentals, Instruction, and More by appointment. We are at Big Lagoon County Park with rentals most spring weekends and many weekedays, weather permitting.

Stacked Rack
Tom has always been generous and clever. He bolted square tubing on to an existing lumber rack and added the tow hitch rack. Both are removable. Now when Tom needs to take his whole neighborhood kayaking he can haul up to 15 boats on one truck! Of course the short kayaks just sit in the bed.

Kayaking is the perfect outdoor activity for the whole family. We have human life jackets from size infant to XXL and doggy life jackets from XXS to XL.

Kayak Zak’s offers kayak instruction, guided trips, adaptive paddling, kayak and SUP rentals, and fun in Humboldt County. Kayak Zak’s is one of the only all-inclusive outfitters on the west coast. We are a mobile business based in Orick, California,the southern gateway to Redwood National and State Parks, northern gateway to Humboldt Lagoons State Park and the home of the world’s tallest trees. Look for us at local waterways nearby. We are most often found guiding trips at Trinidad Cove or with our rental unit at Big Lagoon County Park. Orick was named for the native Yurok word for the sound the frogs make. In fact, at night in the spring the frogs sing so loud we have to close the windows to hear each other! Frogs and salamanders live and play on the water and so do we. In fact, that’s why our logo is a salamander.
