Muddy Shove-Off Launch
Our friend, Stew Rat is demonstrating what his friends call the "Tilly Maneuver." This is a great way to launch in thick mud with underlying swamp gas if you have a take-apart paddle. Just be sure to apply even pressure downward to the blade ends. Don't twist or bend like a pry bar or your paddle shaft will break. Ahh, dry feet!

We are a mobile business based near Orick, California,the southern gateway to Redwood National and State Parks, northern gateway to Humboldt Lagoons State Park and the home of the world’s tallest trees. Look for us at local waterways nearby. We are most often found guiding trips at Trinidad Cove or with our rental unit at Big Lagoon County Park in Trinidad.
